I love the eucalyptus garland because you can customize it to your needs. You can work with different types of eucalyptus and add additional flowers. I included berries because I love the pop of color, and they make me think of the holidays. I also had them in my bouquet ten years ago for our wedding, so they bring back great memories.

You can also make it longer. You could place it as a runner down the center of your table with candles or hand it like a traditional garland. It smells incredible and makes your table look so festive.

It is best to make eucalyptus the day of your event, but it can last for a day or two. I purchased two of the three types of eucalyptus for about $15. I was surprised just how easy it was to make. It looks so good on a dining room table instead of a flower arrangement. I hope this inspires you to make your own as well. I cannot wait to make it again.

• Real Eucalyptus branches recommend using three different types of long stems, including silver dollar eucalyptus
• Floral wire or twine
• Scissors
• Wire cutters (if using floral wire)
• Ribbon or string (optional)
• Berries, fresh branches, or additional fresh flowers (optional)

Spruce up your home decor with a touch of nature this holiday season; consider making a eucalyptus garland or wreath. Eucalyptus leaves are versatile greenery that can add a natural touch to any space. Here's how to make your eucalyptus garland or wreath:

Instructions:

1. Gather your eucalyptus branches on a flat surface. You can purchase these at a florist, craft store, or local grocery store, or if you have access to eucalyptus trees, you can gather them yourself.
2. Decide on the length of your garland or wreath. If making a garland, measure the area you want to hang it and add a little extra for draping. If making a wreath, use a wreath form or create a circular shape with floral wire.
3. Take a eucalyptus branch and remove any unwanted leaves from the stem. Leave some leaves near the end of the stem for a natural look.
4. Place the eucalyptus stems on the garland or wreath form and secure it with floral wire or twine. Wrap the wire tightly around the stem and shape to keep it in place.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with additional eucalyptus branches, overlapping the stems slightly to create a complete look.
6. If making a garland, add eucalyptus branches until you reach the desired length. If making a wreath, continue adding branches until you've covered the entire form.
7. Use wire cutters to cut excess wire or twine.
8. Add a ribbon or string to your garland or wreath for hanging if desired.

Tips:

• Add other natural elements, such as pinecones or berries, to your garland or wreath for a pop of color.
• Hang your garland or wreath in a well-ventilated area to keep the eucalyptus fresh.
• If your eucalyptus begins to dry out, spritz it with water to keep it looking fresh.
• Add candles in a glass container where the wick is not exposed or tall, thick candles where the wick is far away from the garland for safety.
