    Toilet Paper Holder Binoculars

I recently read some posts about all the crafts you can do with toilet paper holders.   So I started saving them a couple of weeks ago.  Before I knew it we had a huge collection.  Our first craft idea was to create binoculars.  Like most projects I had a vision that was very different from the reality of the project.   We started painting it and ended up using stickers instead.  If there is one thing I have learned from crafting with a toddler it is that you need to be flexible.

    Items needed

    • Two toilet paper holders per pair of binoculars
    • String or ribbon
    • Hold puncher
    • Glue (I used a glue gun)
    • Decorations (stickers, paint, crayons, etc.)

    Instructions

Step 1 - Decorate the toilet paper rolls.  Ask stated before my thought was that we would paint them.  Bailey really enjoyed it at first, but then she lost her interest so we moved into stickers that worked much better.
Step 2 - glue the toilet paper rolls together.

Step 3 - Punch holes in the side of the toilet paper rolls.

Step 4 - Tie the ribbon or string into the hole after measuring the length to ensure it will fit over your head.  I say your head because Bailey was all about me using them too.

Step 5 - Enjoy your new binoculars

This is one of the easiest crafts we have tried recently and it was a huge sucess.  Bailey requested that we make a 2nd pair for her Papa as soon as we completed the first pair.  Do you have a favorite craft with toilet paper rolls?  We would love to hear about it.
