The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is a beach front luxury resort located in Naples, Florida, offering ... Stay At One of the Most Unique Beach Resorts in Florida.
This weekend we celebrated the wedding of my dad and her new bride Margaret. It was a magical weekend filled with love, friends, family and sunshine. This was only our 2nd trip to Naples. It was so much fun it felt B asking if we could move to Naples. For this trip we stayed at The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club. I would highly recommend staying here.
Living in South Florida the beach is a way of life for us. This property is extra special because the hotel rooms are on the beach side and the golf course is directly across the street. The hotel is spread out over 125 acres and also has lots of green space which is unusual to see right net to the beach.
The location is ideal right in the heart of Naples. We were just a 2 miles from downtown Naples, the Naples Pier and The Naples Zoo.
What to do The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club
There is so much to do on property we even stayed an extra day so we could experience more of the property. The resort offers:
- Newly renovated 18-hole championship golf course
- 7-mile stretch of white sand beach.
- Beachside pools one for families and one for adults only. Both areas have their own hot tub too.
- Water sports including rentals of Kayaks and Stand up Paddle Boards.
- World-class spa
- Complimentary Kids Club
- Tennis Center
- Fine dining with Gulf views
- Beach bar with live entertainment
- Orchid House - the orchid nursery is where the over 3,000 orchids were cultivated. You can find them displayed throughout the resort, along with bromeliads and other native plants.
Beachside at The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club
I was so excited to learn that the red tide is over. We spent most of our time in the pool since the beach still had small dead fish and crabs on the beach. I was also disappointed that they charge for beach chairs and umbrella. That was a first for us.
Upon checkin they give you bracelets to wear at the pool to know you are a guest. This bracelet will allow you to get towels poolside. They also have pool toys for sale. We bought a mask and I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were reasonable.
If you are able to stay for a Sunday night you should! The Sunset party is a blast. They have a band playing beachside from 5:30-8:30pm. It is a great way to celebrate the end of the week. The band that played was so much fun. I volume was too loud for me, but it is fun because you can hear the band from most of the property. We even opened our door and danced on our balcony.
On the last day we used Kids Club. It felt a little disorganized, but B loved it. When we asked about it at the front desk they seemed confused and told us it was not open on Mondays. Then we saw a sign saying it was open 10am-5pm by the pool. B was the only one at Kids club. It was sweet we got to watch her from the balcony. She went swimming, played ball, and colored. It was the perfect way to let us pack and have some adult time. It is a great perk of the hotel.
Where to Eat The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club
The food on property is delicious. For a quick bite or sandwich stop by The Seminole Store, located in the lobby, combines a casual eatery with a sundry shop. Their made to order egg sandwiches bit the spot and allowed us to all customize our breakfast to our taste. The prices were not listed so I was a little shocked when our 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks was over $40.
If you are looking for a sit down option for breakfast walk across the street to the golf course side to Broadwell's restaurant. They have an incredible all-American buffet as well as a menu of al a carte options. The buffet was a highlight for B.
For lunch by the pool we enjoyed eating at Poolside. It is an open air building between the two pools that is perfect for a cocktail or a full meal. I had the fish tacos and would recommend them.
HB’s On the Gulf is the only beachfront restaurant in Naples. It is the perfect location to watch the sunset. They are also open for lunch daily. The sunset was simply magical and the food and cocktails were a treat.
Hotel Rooms at The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club
The Naples Beach Hotel offers 319 guest rooms and suites. The hotel is made of up six different beachside buildings. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite in the the Watkins building which is the 8 story yellow and white building. If you stay in this building I would recommend requesting either the first floor or a floor 5 of above. The first floor units have a larger patio with a separate entrance. The if you are above floor 5 you will have a great view of the pool and beach. Lower floors views could be blocked by beautiful palm trees.
Some of our family stayed in the main building which they recommended as well.
History of the Naples Hotel and Golf Club
The the Naples Hotel and Golf Club has a rich history in Naples. It was originally opened in the 1880's and was aptly named The Naples Hotel. In 1946 the location was moved to the current location with the golf course right across the street. It is still family owned and operated by the same family as in the 1940s.
Over the years, widely recognized celebrities have stayed at he Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Inventor Thomas Edison enjoyed Sunday dinner at the resort during the many years he owned a winter home in Ft. Myers.
