Happy Summer!!! Since we live in South Florida our summer is all about the water. So today I am sharing some easy tips to help you throw an epic summer time bash. It is the perfect way for you to connect with friends and win prizes from Dr Pepper.
Pool Party Ideas for Adults
From floats to food I love to have lots of pops of color for a pool party. Is there anything better than sunshine and a colorful party with your friends?
You can never have too many pool floats. For this party we wanted to keep the feeling as tropical so we bought a watermelon, strawberry and flamingo floats for our friends. And we bought a baby pool float to use as our floating cooler. Since swimming can make you very thirsty we also bought an assortment of floats for our drinks. Put your drinks and drink floats into your floating cooler so friends can swim up and get a drink and pick their float.
Pro Tip: Don’t forget to buy an electric pump too. It will make blowing up your floats that much easier. You can do it all the day before so you don’t have to stress about it the day of the party.
Ice Cold Drinks
Stop by your local Walmart and purchase original or Diet Dr Pepper. Look for the new Pick Your Pepper packaging that just hit stores this month. I got these fun shark themed cans.
Bonus: When you buy Dr Pepper 6/15-8/15 this summer, you can upload your receipt to http://www.drpepper.com/walmart to get the prize featured in my blog here and/or other prizes like:
- $5 get 5 bottles = Dr Pepper Retro Specs
- $10 get 10 bottles = Dr Pepper Copper Lined Mug
- $20 get 20 bottles = Dr Pepper Bluetooth Speakers
- $30 get 30 bottles = Dr Pepper Pool Float
Playful straws make everything more festive. These cheers straws are the perfect addition to your pool party. They are plastic so they will last unlike paper straws. What would you want your straws to say on them?
For pool parties I love to keep the food fresh, healthy and colorful too. I like to keep the menu simple so I can enjoy my guests. Some of my favorite things to serve for a pool party include:
- Fruit Tray. To make this tray I put a small cake stand on top of a large one. Let your guest make their own mixed fruit salad.
- Mango salsa is also perfect for a pool party. You can prep it the night before and serve it as a dip for a topping for your protein like these Chicken Kebabs
Don’t forget about dessert. Simply add popsicles onto a tray of ice and send them out to your guests on one of the pool rafts! It is easy to refill them. They will go fast!
Who will you invite to your Pool Party this summer?
