One of my favorite people, Dawn is having another daughter so a friend and I hosted a sprinkle for her. We included her daughter, big sister to be Ava and her friends. I looked at lots of different themes trying to find the perfect one for my girlfriend. In the end I realized simple was the best option.
Could Dawn be any more beautiful?
Centerpieces:
I have been in love with these simple diaper cakes since I made them for a shower last year. This time I put them on top of clear cake stands.
For our dining room I made these adorable no sew burlap silverware holders. I was sort of shocked that no one came into the dining room. I guess it looked so cute to use. If you want to make them yourself I have a separate blog post here, No Sew Silverware Holder.
Decor:
I love having a dessert table as the focus of the party and a great backdrop for photos. For this one I took plastic table clothes and cut them up for the backdrop with our It's a Girl banner. I love using my cutter, but sometimes I have too much on my plate to deal with it. I was so excited to find these gold glitter sticker letters for a party last year at Michael's. If you get them don't throw away the backing, I was able to use each letter twice, one as the letter outlined and one as the solid letter.
I always want the party to be personalize. I got these wooden letters at Michael's. For half of them I glued on dots I created from a gold sheet of paper and added gold glitter to the other two.
Who does not love adorable baby clothes. It is the perfect gift and decor for the day of.
Food and Drinks:
Breakfast is my favorite food to cook and to eat. Our menu included muffins, egg casserole, stuffed french toast, oranges and two signature drinks: White wine sangria and kid friendly punch.
Desserts:
Publix had brownies BOGO so we make these adorable rattles with taking the brownies and making them in cupcake tins. Then we added a a lolly pop with a ribbon. Finally we iced the brownies in pink and decorated them with white chocolate chips.
The cake was was topped with a custom Ella banner.
Favors:
For favors we make our favorite Oero Balls added a straw and wrapped them up with a custom thank you note.
Decorate an outfit or bib for baby Ella:
Since this was a Sprinkle we included the older kids to make it a celebration of the big sister as well. We had a fun project of decorating outfit and bibs for baby Ella.
We loved showering not only Dawn, but also big sister to be Ava. What is your favorite part of the Sprinkle?
