This Ham and Brie Sandwich with Apples is easy to make in the toaster or in a pan. This is a fun spin on a Grilled Cheese sandwich. Ham, brie, and fresh apple slices.
It is official. I have survived my first month being gluten free. When I first found out about my gluten intolerance from a food sensitivity test, I thought of all the things I was going to miss. My original thought was that maybe I should go and have additional tests done in the hopes that it was wrong. Then I started to think of all the brands that offer gluten free options including, Udi’s®.
I worked with Udi’s before I was gluten free. Check out these Cinnamon French Toast Muffins. Their Udi’s® Gluten Free Delicious Multigrain Sandwich Bread was one of the products that I stocked up on at Publix. Look for it in the freezer section. Udi’s is a game changer when you are living a gluten free lifestyle. It delivers a delicious taste and great texture. Their 24 oz loaves offer a 30% larger slice and mirrors conventional sandwich bread. Plus, it’s certified gluten free and is dairy and nut free. It also has 8 grams of whole grains per serving, plus other vitamins and minerals.
Speaking of stocking up. This is a great time to stock up. From 1/6/19 – 3/10/19 (while supplies last), you can save $1.30 on Udi’s Gluten Free bread at Publix. Click here for savings! Offer must be redeemed by 3/24/19. You can find it in the frozen or gluten free section at your local Publix.
I am so happy I have committed to going gluten free. I feel so much better. And when I have cheated and enjoyed snacks and meals with gluten, I have terrible stomach pains and my feet get swollen.
Ham and Brie Sandwich with Apples
I have been shocked and happy that so many restaurants offer gluten free options. We were at the theme parks this weekend and I was so excited to see that one of the resorts offered Udi’s Gluten Free bread. Their sandwich inspired me to make this Ham and Brie Sandwich with Apples.
Ingredients for Ham and Brie Sandwich with Apples
You can find all the ingredients at Publix including sliced lunch meat, an apple, fresh thyme, butter and brie. This is a sandwich that everyone in your house will love. Which in our house, is not easy to find.
How to Make Ham and Brie Sandwich
Pro Tip: Slice your brie and apples as thin as you can.
I like to cook mine in a toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5 minutes because the clean up is so easy. They also cook well in a pan or a sandwich press if you are ok with the extra clean up.
The apple gives the sandwich a delicious crunch to it.
