    Since I am working to feel my best I started to do some research to determine if I should take a food sensitivity test.  I was excited when I found EverlyWell.  They provide at-home tests for everything from fertility to food sensitivity.

    Their at-home test for food sensitivity measures your body’s IgG response to 96 foods to help provide guidance on what foods may be the best to remove in an elimination diet.  The test helps to identify what foods may be problematic.

    Please note they recommend consuming food for about 4 weeks prior to testing. Your body begins to break down IgG after 28 days from last exposure, any foods not consumed for 4 weeks or longer may have lower than normal IgG reacitvities than would be measured had the food been eaten.

    Food can trigger an immune response resulting in symptoms such as:

    • Dry and itchy skin
    • Other miscellaneous skin problems
    • Food intolerance
    • Feeling bloated after eating
    • Fatigue
    • Joint pain
    • Migraines
    • Headaches
    • Gastrointestinal (GI) distress
    • Stomach pain

    What to do with your Food Sensitivity Test Results Should you take a Food Sensitivity Test

    Now that I have my results and a list of potentially ‘problematic’ foods I am doing an elimination diet with the high reactivity items.  I am working on eliminating them and then slowly adding them back into my diet to see how my body reacts to them.  I will continue to share my progress as I try to eliminate possible triggers.

      This is so interesting! I wish I knew of this for my daughter a few years ago! Glad to see the list of "good" foods is longer than the others for you!
