We joke that in Florida we have two seasons hot and hotter! So, if you are a lover like Fall like I am you have to get creative. Here are my tips and tricks for how to celebrate Fall in Florida. Thank you to One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating® for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love living in Florida! The beach, the pool, the palm trees...there is so much to love. It is home and has been since I was 6 months old. While I love swimming for most of the year I also love the idea of wearing cozy sweaters, snuggling up by the fireplace and enjoying the crisp cool fall air. Since our average temperature this week was in the 90s, sometimes you have to fake it to make it feel like Fall. These tips and tricks will help you celebrate Fall in Florida.
How to Celebrate Fall in Florida
We may not have the cooler temperatures, but you can still enjoy fall in Florida with these ideas.
Pumpkin Patches
I saw a post last week of a friend looking for a "real" pumpkin patch in Florida. Let's be honest they just don't exist here. The weather is too warm. But South Florida does an amazing job of trying to bring the pumpkin patch feel to us, even if it is a little stylized version of a pumpkin patch. Fall Crafts
Another way we like to celebrate Fall is by doing lots of fall crafts. From painting pumpkins with nail polish to making them into Palm Beach inspired pumpkins we like to craft our way into the season. How beautiful are pumpkins, flowers and the water?
Fall Decor and Parties
We joke that in our house the dining room and bar cart are just for looks. I love having the table set and the bar cart decorated for each holiday. It may not feel like fall outside, but we like to turn the AC cold enough and pretend it is chilly outside. How cute is this Hey Pumpkin Welcome Mat?
Speaking of the AC. When was the last time you had your AC serviced?
One of the most difficult experiences for us as homeowners was when our AC broke in July. If you've been to Florida in July, you'll understand why we quickly packed up and headed down to the Keys. Living without AC is simply not possible for our family. Scheduling a regular maintenance check can help avoid this. Now, we know that!
We have used a number of different companies for AC service and duct cleaning. Our latest checkup was our first experience with One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating. technicians, and it will certainly not be my last!
Everything about the experience was professional and smooth. From setting up the appointment to the technicians arrival the made it all easy. The One Hour technician was extremely respectful, courteous, knowledgable and I felt good knowing he was background checked.
The technician took the time to explain everything to me in terms I could understand. He shared how it would impact our home and even showed me pictures so I could understand his recommendations. I would highly recommend them.

Halloween Costumes
We built this dress up closet for B three years ago and it has been one of my favorite parts of our playroom. Dressing up in a costume really does help remind you that fall is here, even if we take photos in front of palm trees.
Read Fall inspired Books
Now that we have the AC running high to pretend it is fall we also like to change up some of the books we are reading to be fall inspired books. B's current favorite is to read about unicorns.
What is your favorite way to celebrate Fall in your town?
