DIY Cabbage Centerpiece
Setting the table is one of my favorite parts of having a dining room. I like to set the table even if we are not have a diner party, like my Hello Fall Dinner Party. And honestly when we entertain sometimes I run out of time design a table.
I am always looking simple and inexpensive ways to make the table feel extra special. Last year I created this DIY Asparagus Candle Centerpiece.
I loved the look so much that I wanted to do another centerpiece using vegetables and flowers. This DIY Cabbage Centerpiece was simple to create and adds a fun pop of color and an unexpected centerpiece.
I paired this centerpiece with my Hello Fall table for a super fun and festive. I want to recreate it for Easter too. To transform it to be Easter I will switch out the flower to be Tulips.
Items Needed for DIY Cabbage Centerpiece:
- A paring knife
- An assortment of purple and green cabbages
- Floral foam (available at craft stores and florists)
- Sharp scissors or a knife
How to Make DIY Cabbage Centerpiece
Step 1: Cut the bottom to ensure it will sit flat. And remove the top couple of leaves.
Step 2: Trace around the container for the flowers. Then cut a whole in the center of the cabbage using your pairing.
Step 2: Repeat the same steps on the bottom of the cabbage. Place the jar inside the cabbage and fill with water.
Step 3: Arrange flowers and Enjoy.
