Since Bailey seems to love cooking I have started looking for simple recipes that would be ideal when cooking for a toddler. I was so excited when I saw this recipe on Glue gun Annie’s blog. These are amazing. Kurt and I ate almost all of them while Bailey was sleeping. Opps. Cannot wait to make them again.
- 8oz shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tbs unsalted butter, softened
- 3 – 4 tbs ice water
A recipe with cheese means snacking while you cook. Win win.
Step 6: Roll the dough out on a floured surface into about an 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into 1″ squares with a pizza cutter or fluted pastry cutter, or cut into fun shapes using tiny cookie cutters. I bought some adorable mini cookie cutters as soon as I saw this recipe.
Step 8: Bake for about 7 – 10 minutes, or until they have puffed up and the edges begin to brown. Let cool before eating. Letting them cool before eating was the hardest part for us.
