How to Setup your Breakfast Charcuterie Board
- Plan where you are going to set up your brunch this will help you determine the size and shape of the board you want to use. Keep in mind you can create more than one or one of my favorite things to do is create a centerpiece of a brunch platter. To do this all you need is a butch block paper. You can roll it right down the center of your take. And then you can start creating your brunch board right on the table.
- Select the theme for your platter. The possibilities are endless. For this board we did Breakfast proteins with eggs, sausage and bacon.
- Then pick the additional items you want to include. I always like to add some fruit since it is one of my favorite foods. And from a style standpoint, I love the pops of colors.
- Select your toppings and garnishes. I personally love salt and ketchup on my eggs so I included both. You could also include toppings and sauces.
- Now for the fun part. Think about how you want to arrange the board. Keep in mind that items look best in odd numbers. So I like to start by placing food in groups in groups of 3 or 5. Then think of the small bowls and dishes you will need for your toppings and sauces.
- Now it is time to go shopping! Make your grocery list and plan ahead for the food you want to make and buy.
Day of Setup Plan for your Breakfast Charcuterie Board
- Check your grocery list and see if there is anything else you need.
- Head to Publix with your list.
- Pull out your board and dishes.
- On the day of you will start arranging your bunch board so you have everything ready.
- I like to use post-it notes to lay out where the products will go that are heated. That way other people can help set it up.
- Place your items that do not need to be cooked first. Leaving room for the items you are cooking. Two days before: make my menu plan, and grocery list, get out my board and serving dishes, and make a list of things I need for serving.

Breakfast Charcuterie Board Styling Tips
I love creating grazing boards because. Here are some of the things I keep in mind when creating my board:
- Pick a theme - We love a theme and this breakfast board works for almost every theme from a shower to a sporting event party.
- Pick the right size board. I like most of the board to be covered in food so it looks plentiful.
- Work in old numbers. I like to place the bowls down first so I know I have room for them. Then place the larger food items. I like to fill the empty spaces with fruit to add color. I keep layering and adding until all the board is covered.
- Add height to the board. You can use cake stands to create height variations.
- Add fresh flowers and greenery-like herbs onto your boards.
Drinks
Don't forget to put out drinks for your guests too. I like to do a self-serve drink bar.
