There is so much to do that I wish we had gone for more than one day. We actually ran out of time to do everything we had originally planned. Here are our top tips for Legoland Florida.
Planning your Trip to Legoland Florida
Legoland Florida is not open everyday so it is important to check the Legoland Florida website for their hours of operations for the park and the water park. There are some weeks were the park is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The water park is closed during the cooler months. I recommend buying your tickets online. You often save money and you can skip the ticket line.

Legoland Florida to Orlando Airport
If you fly into the Orlando Airport you can easily drive to Legoland. The driving distance between Orlando Airport (MCO) to Legoland Florida is 53 miles. It takes approximately 1h 1m to drive from Orlando Airport (MCO) to Legoland Florida.

Hotels near Legoland Orlando
There are a number of hotels close to Legoland Orlando. The coolest one is the Legoland Hotel.
Legoland Hotel
Even if you don't stay at the Legoland hotel it is worth exploring. The lobby has a great area for building, characters roaming around and fun music. We also took a couple of rides in the elevator which I highly recommend. We also had dinner there which was a delicious buffet.
Packing for your Trip
Employees in blue vest are able to trade mini figurines with you and your family. I recommend packing mini figurines to trade, instead of buying them there. Don't forget your sunscreen, sun glasses and hats. The park does not provide a lot of shade. If you are planning on going to the water park pack a towel, bathing suit, water shoes and a change of clothes.
If you still can use a stroller I recommend bringing it. There was so much to see half way through the day B asked to get into the stroller because she was exhausted from walking and being in the sun.
Plan you Day
Before you go familiarize yourself with the park and download the map. We arrived as they opened and made our way to the back of the park to experience the newest section: LEGO NINJAGO before the crowds. The rollercoasters were a family favorite. And we spent the most amount of time in Mini Land USA. They have recreated landmarks like the capital and Kennedy Space Center. The characters sing, move and take off. I am still in awe with what they created.
