Today I am very excited to to welcome my first contributor, Courtney Warren.  We connected on social media after she appeared on Fox Good Morning sharing her Summer Tablescape Ideas.  Connecting with other bloggers is one of my favorite parts of blogging.  Working from home as a team of 1 can be isolating.  I have found that the blogging community has been so supportive.  All you need to do is reach out like Courtney did to connect.  I am happy to share her Simple Table Decorations with you.  They are simple and elegant and perfect for a summer party or when you are missing summer and want to set up some simple table decorations to transport you back to summer.  Please welcome Courtney to the blog:

Oh, summer. You are such a great idea in theory. Then the temp hits 100 degrees and I am drenched in sweat just walking from my car into the Target dollar spot.

    What’s a girl to do?

If its going to be hot outside, then the we need to bring the fun to our parties in other ways- mainly by having adorable party decor without breaking the bank. So here are the best inexpensive centerpiece ideas and dining table decorations that will delight your guests and make you forget the heat!

    Simple Table Decorations

Any great party or table centerpiece includes donuts. I mean, can we just be honest? Donuts bring the fun. Donuts made to look like pineapples- well, its now fun overload. Look at these adorable toppers- simply stick them in the donuts and suddenly your table decorations just went to a WHOLE ‘NOTHER LEVEL. Simple Table Decorations

Adorning the table are tropical leaves. These tropical table decoration ideas are inexpensive and easy to find- simply raid the outdoors, or if you don’t live near the tropics, you can find them online. Dressed up with pineapples throughout the center of the tables makes this table centerpiece so festive.

And do not forget about the kids. These Jello cups are simply bought in bulk, placed on a cupcake stand, and dressed up with a tropical umbrella. So easy that you will not have the shame of a Pinterest fail here! Score one for Mom! Simple Table Decorations

Fruit makes a perfect centerpiece for a backyard party–it is cute and practical. It’s a centerpiece you can eat! These pineapples are festive and summery. I used bright plates and colors and dressed it up with an inexpensive lei. Simple Table Decorations

If you would like to see me explain these ideas live, I was just featured on Fox Good Day sharing some table decoration ideas for parties. Watch it here!

How do you prevent your jello from melting into a quivery puddle? It's a feels like temp of 105° outside. BTW - totally into that Trader Joe's French Lemonade and Limeade... the best.

Very good point. I will ask Courtney if she has any tips. And their lemonade and limeade is amazing
