I was originally going to make a pinata for Bailey's Flamingo party. Then I found the most adorable ones so I put making one on hold. I have been looking for an excuse to make one. So when I signed up to bring favors for Bailey's scarecrow party at school I knew exactly what I was going to make. Bailey loved them so much I knew that I needed to use them for more than just her party. They are also a great craft to do with all the leftover Halloween candy. I think we will be doing a kids Thanksgiving table with them! Here is how to make the Scarecrow Mini Pinata.

Instructions for Scarecrow Mini Pinata
Step 1 - Cut a piece of tissue paper in a square to cover one end of the toilet paper roll. Then attach the tissue paper with double sided tape or glue.
Step 2 - Fill with candy or small prizes.
Step 3 - Put the rope across the top and cover with tissue paper. Cut a slit in the tissue paper for the rope to be flush with the end of the tissue paper. Tie tag on the end of the rope. You can use this Pull for a Treat Tags or make your own.
Step 4 - To create the pants cut fringe into the crepe paper. I used fringe scissors, but you can use regular scissors as well. Then wrap the TP roll attaching it with double sided tape on both sides.
Step 5 - Now for the shirt take a piece of tissue paper and cut fringe on the bottom. Wrap it around the TP roll and attached with double sided tape.
Pro Tip: Only cut half of the paper so you have a smooth surface to make the face.
Step 6 - Cut pieces of the crepe paper for the legs. Fold in half and place a piece of double sided tape at the end. Add hay pieces on top of the tape and fold it together. Then use a piece of double sided tape on the bottom to secure the legs.
For the arms cut fringe into the tissue paper. Similar to the pants fold in half and place a piece of double sided tape at the end. Add hay pieces on top of the tape and fold it together. Use a piece of double sided tape onto each side of the scarecrow.
Step 7 - Take a piece of twine and wrap it around the shirt and tie it as a belt.
Step 8 - Draw the face with a marker.
Step 9 - To make the hat glue along the bottom of the bottle cap and a fix it to the middle of the square paper. Wrap the twine around the bottle cap. Add hot glue to the bottom middle of the hat and a fix to the scarecrow.
