During our last trip to Orlando we were invited by Reunion Resort to be their guest. Last year we went to Disney at least once a month, what can we say we love the theme parks. Our stay at Reunion Resort was my all-time favorite trip of the year including a trip to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Reunion Resort, an AAA Four Diamond-rated property, is an exclusive 2,200-acre destination which promises a vacation wonderland.
Accommodations at Reunion Resort
From the moment, we pulled into the parking lot and came into the lobby we knew this trip would be different We were so excited when we walked into our 2-bedroom condo. We could not get over all the space. At first, we even though about calling our cousins to ask if they wanted to join us.
There is something magical about staying in a condo instead of a hotel room. In the mornings, instead of rushing to the parks we had leisurely breakfast at the dining room table, on the couch or on our patio which overlooked the driving range.
Reunion resort thinks of literally everything from a fully appointed kitchen to rentals of a t-pee for during your stay. I think B would have skipped the parks if we let her stay in the condo all day and play in the t-pee.
My all-time favorite part of the condo was the soaking tubs (yes 2 soaking tubs). I am 6’ tall and with most tubs I have to pick if I want my body or my legs in the tub. The tub in the master bedroom was the biggest tub I have ever seen. And it filled up in just minutes. A hot bath after a full day at the parks was the best way to recover and prepare for the next day.
If you are traveling with a larger group or just by yourself they also offer one and three-bedroom Villas plus multi-bedroom Vacation Rental Homes. All of these accommodations include spacious living and dining areas, full kitchens, patios and balconies. Vacation Rental Homes also boast guest favorite features like private swimming pools, game rooms and even their own putting greens.
Spa at Reunion Resort
Have you ever gone to the spa during a family trip? I love a day at the spa, let’s be honest who does not. I have been on spa trips with girlfriends and spa days for birthdays. Having a massage in the middle of a family trip, especially a day after walking 25,000 steps at Disney is the greatest gift. I want to make this a tradition for all Disney trips.
The spa at Reunion Resort is in the former model home for the community. Which made it so welcoming and comfortable. I had a hot stone massage that was literally heaven! If you have not had a massage with hot stones you need to. During the massage I kept thinking how can I get these hot stones at my house? After my treatment I enjoyed a refreshing drink in their meditation room.
Reunion Resort Property
Reunion Resort is located inside a gated community with single family homes, two golf course and condos. We may have driven around for hours looking at the houses. I was about ready to move into one of the colorful homes.
Reunion also has a pool and water park. The weather was a little too chilly for us (yes, we are from Florida and I wear a sweater when the weather drops into the 70s.) We are hoping to go back to Reunion so we can experience the water park.
Dining at Reunion Resort
Generally, we eat meals while wondering around the park. Reunion invited us to dine at their roof top restaurant. It was another nice treat and inspired us to leave the park earlier than we would have otherwise. The food and service were amazing. We were a little nervous about having a long steakhouse meal with a 6-year-old.
The restaurant overlooks the rooftop pool. While we were waiting for our food we explored the pool area.
Reunion Resort Location
We were just minutes away from Disney Springs, all four Disney parks, SeaWorld and a short drive from Legoland. The resort is conveniently located six miles from Walt Disney World and only 20 minutes from Orlando International Airport.
When is your next trip to Disney?
