We love Amazon!!! My brother was invited to be a beta tester for the Amazon Echo. After hearing his review of it we knew we had to get one. Echo connects to Alexa, a cloud-based voice service, to provide information, answer questions, play music, read the news, check sports scores or the weather, and more—instantly. All you have to do is ask. Echo begins working as soon as it detects the wake word. You can pick Alexa or Amazon as your wake word. Alexa has become a part of our lives and is the perfect gift. Our favorite things to have Alexa do include:
- Play music by asking her to play our favorite songs or songs by our favorite artists.
- Set timers, especially helpful after cooking with a toddler and having dirty hands to get my phone or microwave all dirty.
- New briefs
- Weather reports
- Random questions like cooking questions
- Make a to do list
