I love celebrating and birthdays are my favorite.  We have been celebrating B's 4th birthday all week.  Saturday was her big Flamingo party with our extended family and friends! Cannot wait to share it.  I always like to have a special birthday breakfast this year we took it to the next level.  B originally wanted a Peppa Pig party.  I love Peppa and George so I was a little disappointed when she changed her mind.  I have lots of details to share.    A few of my favorite details include:

Peppa Pig Party Details for a Peppa Pig Themed Birthday Party

We setup the party in our dining room so that the birthday party would be a total surprise to Bailey.  Most nights she makes her way into our bedroom at some point and walks right by our kitchen table.  I added streamers and pictures of Peppa and her friends so that she would have a grand entrance to walk through.  It was a little detail, but it is her favorite part of the party.  Even now two days later she is still running through the streamers and has asked me to never take them down.

I created the balloon arch for her Flamingo party.  It was such a labor of love that instead of popping the balloons I wanted to find a way to use it for the rest of our birthday celebrations.  I was able to the Bailey sign from her Flamingo party I replaced the flamingos on the end with a picture of Peppa.

Peppa Pig Themed Party Tablewear

I love the colors of Peppa and her friends, but I am not a big fan of using plates with any characters.  I like to include the theme in more subtle ways.  The sun was the perfect symbol that said Peppa and brightened up the table. I printed out the sun's and cut in circles. In styling I am all about layering.  I started with a crisp white linen as a table runner.  The wood chargers were a great backdrop to make the white plates and light blue napkins pop. I found the yellow pom poms at Target they were the perfect pop of color and tied together the sun on the plates.

We recently purchased these glass milk bottles.  I love the shape of them.  We added a light pink straw with a custom straw flag for the birthday girl.  Nothing like a "fancy' glass to make the birthday girl feel special.

Peppa Pig Themed Centerpieces

I have a full collection of glass vases from the Dollar Store.  My medium square vase with a printout of Peppa and a white hydrangea was simple and added to our theme.  No matter the theme or budget I always try to include florals.   Their is nothing like fresh flowers to brighten up any space.

Peppa Pig Themed Party Gifts

I love wrapping presents.  I feel like so much of gift giving and entertaining is all about presentation.  Since Christmas I have been a huge fan of wrapping with brown kraft paper.  It allows me to personalize the wrapping to the theme.  I have a huge collect of ribbons so I went to the closet and found these pink and green ribbons.  They were from a Lilly Pulitzer gift and I love love love them because the bow is already tied, so I don't have to worry about getting it just right!  Bailey is Peppa obsessed so it is no surprise that all of her gifts were Peppa inspired.

Peppa Pig Theme Party Food

On Monday we went to Publix and I let Bailey pick out everything for her special birthday breakfast and birthday treat for school.  It was such a sweet trip to the store.  I think this is a tradition I will try and keep up every year.  She is totally a daddy's girl so it was no surprise that she picked out the cake with blue since it is one of my hubby's favorite colors.  And that she picked out Star Wars cereal.  I added sprinkles, a Peppa figurine, and a candle to her blueberry waffle.  She ate the waffle off the cake stand.

If you have not experienced a Publix cake before, you must.  For our wedding Kurt had two requests Publix cake and Mac and Cheese, he got the Mac and Cheese.  We had a huge cake over the weekend so I did not want to get a big cake since it was just the three of us celebrating.  This mini cake was almost too cute to eat.  Bailey requested the flower in the center so I cut the birthday girl a round piece from the middle.
