    Never Ending Summer Flamingo Party

In Florida it is always summer so it is no surprise that we are Flamingo obsessed in our house.  My co-planner, Bailey my soon to be 4 year old daughter and I have been planning her 4th birthday party for 3 months.  This is what happens when your mom is a party planner.

When we started planning it I thought we would invite just her closest friends so I went to one of my favorite vendors, Oriental Trading Company.  I ordered the supplies and we were off and planning.  As many parties do Bailey's party quickly expanded beyond my original vision.  So last weekend we hosted a never ending summer Flamingo party at the park.  We will host the new and expanded version of her birthday this weekend.  So check back for our next Flamingo party!!!

    Setting:

We are lucky to have the best parks in South Florida.  This view is a private pavilion overlooking the inter-coastal where we hosted the party.

    Decor:

I fell in love with this flamingo pattern the moment I saw it on Oriental Trading Company.  I loved that they had all the coordinating items from napkins to favor bags.  I used the favor bags as an accent on top of the two plates.  I am all about the square plates, I love the modern touch it adds to a playful place setting.

I included wooden spoons that I found at target.  I used two pink napkins for the extra pop of color and because you can never have too many napkins with little kids.

Happy Family Blog - Flamingo Party Centerpieces:

If you follow me on Instagram you know that these are my favorite part of all the decor.  They looked adorable right out of the box, but I felt like they were missing something.  We printed out a yellow flower to match the other decor and made them both pearl necklaces from Michaels, I love their selection of beads.  You are never fully dressed without pearls and a bow!  We had so much color with the other decor I kept the flowers simple with white roses from The Fresh Market to ensure the mini flamingos here the highlight.  A recent dinner guest brought flowers for me and Bailey in these adorable colored mason jars.  They are a great addition for our collection of mason jars and were perfect for the party.

    Box Lunches:

These lunch boxes are so adorable and were ideal for the prepacked lunch we served.  No need to worry about the bugs with open food displays.

    Flamingo Straws:

The Flamingo straws were the biggest hit!!! Happy Family Blog - Flamingo Party

Thank you. It is James Rutherford Park. They have the cutest boardwalk with two little pavilions right on the water. And a great playground tree covered. Let me know if you go and if you what you think.

Hi Hillary, Thank you. This park is James Rutherford park behind 5th Ave Shoppes. It is one of our favorites. The playground has great shade. The boardwalk leads to two pavilions right on the water. Let me know if you go. Boca has the best parks!!!
