We love a themed food. These flower shaped snacks are the perfect combination of a yummy and themed snack. And they have my all time favorite flavor combination of salty and sweet with peanut butter and chocolate. I also love that you can make just as many as you need so they are perfect for an afternoon snack for just your kids or you can make a larger batch to share with friends and family.
When B was little I used to buy the larger version of snacks and then I would put them into individual baggies so they were ready as grab and go snacks. It did not take me long to learn that snacks do not stay as fresh in sandwich baggies as they do in pre-packaged versions from the factory. So, I finally realized that buying snacks that are packed as individual servings was the way to go. We actually have a bin in our pantry where I put all the snack so that B can grab them in the morning as she is walking out the door. She packs 3 snacks a day, two for school and one for the car ride home. I am so grateful for pre-packaged snacks like these Ritz crackers.
This week I ordered Ritz Portion Pack 18 count and the Snacking Essential Variety 30 Count that has Oreo Ritz crackers and Chips Ahoy from Walmart. We started using their delivery service last year and it has been one of our best decisions. We have saved so much time having everything delivered straight to our door.

If you follow me on any social channels you know we love to celebrate and I love to have fun after school setups for B and Slade. These flower shaped snacks made for the perfect snacks to celebrate the start of spring.
Ingredients for the Flower Shaped Snacks
- Ritz crackers
- Peanut Butter I recommend using a squeeze peanut butter, but a creamy peanut butter from the jar works too.
- Colorful Chocolate Candies
- Optional: Mini Oreos
Alternatively you could use chocolate hazelnut spread or you could melt a couple of chocolate chips for about 30 seconds for your base.
How to Make Flower Shaped Snacks
They are so simple to make. With three steps they are ready in just minutes. If you want to get the kids involved you can depending on their age. You could even have them help you sort the candies in color order to make it a learning experience too.
- Open a package of Ritz crackers
- Spread Peanut Butter onto the middle of the cracker. You don't need it to go all the way too the end of the cracker
- Place one color of chocolate candy or half of a mini oreo in the middle and then place another color of chocolate candy around it in a circle to make the flower.
- You can eat them now or put into the refrigerator so the peanut butter hardens a little and your candies stay in place.
