Cooking with a Toddler: Healthy Peanut Butter Cookies

    Healthy Peanut Butter Cookies

I was craving something sweet and peanut buttery today.  I tried to get Bailey into making the cereal bars from last week.  If you missed these cereal bars are easy to make and they are delicious.  I knew that if I asked Bailey if she wanted to make cookies the response would be YES. Since making these we have also made other yummy cookies like these, Soft Chewy Ginger Cookies

Ingredients for Healthy Peanut Butter Cookies

    • 1 Cup Peanut butter
    • 1 Cup honey
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 egg

Instructions to Make Healthy Peanut Butter Cookies

    Step 1 - Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees

Step 2 - Mix the peanut butter and honey first and mix these together.

Step 3 -  Then add in the egg and baking soda.

Step 4 - Bake for 10 minutes on 350 degrees.

This was Bailey's first time using the hand mixer.  She loved it.

One of my favorite parts of baking...licking the bowl.    It was interesting to see how different the cookies turned out on the top shelf vs the bottom shelf.  I like the look of the ones of the bottom shelf, but after a taste test we determined they taste the same.

This was another cooking experience that ended with all the product gone the same day.  Opps.  We also determined they would be amazing with chocolate chips or mini M&Ms.

If you try them we would love to know how they turn out.
