Arnold Palmer Recipe
Hello January! A friend said yesterday now that the holidays are over I am ready for summer. Since we live in South Florida we basically skip right over spring and go straight into summer. B is already in the pool and we are already making summer snacks and drinks to enjoy poolside.
An Arnold Palmer is my dad's go to drink. B started ordering them recently, so she could be just like her grandpa. And to my surprise she loves them.
I have never made them at home so when the opportunity to partner with Tetley® Tea came up, I knew exactly what I wanted to make. Their Tetley Iced Tea is one of the New Southern Special-Teas and it is perfect for this Arnold Palmer recipe.
The Iced Tea blend is specially crafted with 12% Nilgiri Tea to help enhance the tea's crispness, sweetness and bold flavor.
How to Make Arnold Palmer
I still cannot believe I have never made iced tea before. It is simple to make, and I would recommend making it the night before, so you can have it in the pitcher nice and cold. Simply follow the directions to make the tea. Which is as simple as boiling water and letting the tea bags seep for 3-5 minutes.
Then make equal parts of lemonade. You can also use store bought lemonade. Allow the tea to cool in the pot and then mix half ice tea and half lemonade into a pitcher. Place the pitcher into the refrigerator.
Pour the Arnold Palmer into a tall glass. Then top with a lemon slice and add a fun straw.
You can make and enjoy this Arnold Palmer recipe same day by adding ice cubes to the tea. If you do I would recommend allowing the tea bags to steep for the full 5 minutes since the tea will be diluted by the ice cubes melting.
