Yesterday was the first day of school for us and Bailey was so excited. It is amazing how staying at the same small preschool makes it so much easier and less nerve wrecking for all of us.
I saw this prayer on Facebook, while I don't know the source I had to share it. Brought tears to my eyes.
I found an adorable sign for back to school click here to see it and download one too.
Did your kids go back to school yet? If so how did they first day go? What are your first day traditions?

We made signs as well and of course had the traditional 1st day picture. My son started kindergarden and my daughter 3rd grade. Always find 1st day of school very emotional for me.

Love the prayer! My first day of school tradition is rushing out of the house and doing our normal prayer in the car before school. Then I take pics and try not to cry as I drive off!

Oh, wow whT a lovely little prayer. Bought years to my eyes. We don't go back to school for a few more weeks yet, but it is going to be emotional.
My eldest is moving from Infants to Juniors, it feels like such a big step. I make little signs each year when my little ones start school. They have the date, what year they are going into and what they say they want to be when they grow up. I wonder what Oliver will say this year?
My middle son is starting Pre school (I think it might be the same as Kindergarten). It's a really bittersweet time as Zachary is Autistic and doesn't really understand what is happening. He has been going to private nursery since January, but somehow this feels different. I can't wait to get him a little uniform. It's a bittersweet time as even though I can't wait to watch him grow I am sad it is happening so fast. I am hoping this is the year he will begin to be able to tell me what he has been doing all day.
Hope your Little girl is loving school.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I like the idea of having the date and what they want to be on the sign. I agree it is so emotional because it seems to go so fast. Leaving the preschool bubble is so difficult. I am not looking forward to it. Best of luck. Look forward to following how it goes on your blog. Bailey is loving school. Personally I am missing the slower summer schedule.

Beautiful post! My little one's 2nd first day of school (long story) is in about 10 days and I'm sure I'll be praying that prayer the whole day. I remember a psychiatrist colleague telling me that it's actually the mums who experience separation anxiety more than the little ones and that makes so much sense. Glad your little girl looks so happy and excited, all the best for the rest of the school year and all the best letting go 🙂

So true. It is amazing how throughout the day you wonder what they are doing and if everyone is being nice to them. Best of luck with your take 2.
