We love the holidays!!! It is our tradition to host Christmas brunch for my parents so that they can be here to enjoy watching Bailey open her gifts from Santa. The first year I was a little overwhelmed by the idea of hosting first thing in the morning especially after being Santa Claus the night before. I want to make every occasion special. This will be our 4th year of our Christmas Brunch tradition. I have teamed up with Coca-Cola and Safeway to share 3 Tips to Throw the Perfect Holiday Brunch.
- Prep Ahead of Time - I like to have everything set the night before including our table, food and drinks. I have two favorite recipes an egg casserole and a stuffed french toast. Both of them can be made the night before which means that I simply need to turn the oven on, pop them in and enjoy. They make the house smell amazing.
- Self Service Bar - From a Hot Chocolate Bar to a Waffle bar I love setting up a self service bar. It doubles as additional festive decor and allows guests to serve themselves as much food and drink as they would like made exactly they way they like it. For this brunch I set up a drink bar with Gold Peak iced tea, the adorable glass bottle of Coca-Cola and Sprite.
I generally take food and drinks out of their original packaging when I am serving them, but the glass bottles of Coca-Cola are so cute I knew I wanted to display them! See step by step instructions below on how to make them!
And to make it easier I kept the Sprite and Ice Tea in their bottles as well. Adding a big bow and mini wreaths allowed them to add to my decor and avoid getting a pitcher dirty.
I saw this coasters on one of my favorite blogs the other day. I had already bought all the supplies to make them and they were exactly what was missing for these bottles. To learn how to make them head over to Damask Love.
- Gifts as Place Cards - Shopping for someone who has everything like parents can be tough. We love Shutterfly because we love capturing moments and sharing them in personalized gifts.
Decorative Straws
Decorative straws are a great way to make any drink more festive. I love adding straw flags to paper straws. The easiest way to add them is with washi tape.
Supplies for Decorative Straws
- Straws
- Washi Tape
- Scissors
Step 1: Place the tape towards the top of the straw. Use the first one as a template so they are all the same height.
Step 2: Wrap the tape to cover all sticky side.
Step 3: Cut the tape either straight or in a v shape.
Decorate Coke Bottles
Add a decorate straw and a mini ornament with a red ribbon
Supplies for Decorative Straws
- Coke bottles
- Decorative straws
- Mini ornaments
- Red thin ribbon
Step 1: Tie the ribbon around the top of the bottle. Double knot it.
Step 2: Tie the ribbon on and add the mini ornament.
Step 3: Tie a bow and ENJOY!
