The countdown to Halloween is on. And if you follow the blog you know we love to add food in as part of our party decor. Even if we are not having a party I still like to make treats that are on theme. Today I am sharing a super simple recipe that is always a crowd pleaser.
Since Halloween treats are often all about the candy we wanted to make a healthier spin on a chocolate bark. As you know we love dairy products and are so happy to continue our partnership with Florida Dairy. So for the base of this bark we used vanilla yogurt. You could use your favorite flavor of yogurt.
You only need three ingredients for this Spooky Yogurt Bark. And you can easily swap out the topping based on what you have or can find at the store. Another perk no measuring is necessary. The first step is to place aluminum foil or parchment paper onto a cookie sheet. This will allow for super easy clean up! Then make sure you stir your yogurt well. I recommend regular yogurt and not Greek yogurt so it is easier to pour, but both work.
Then pour the yogurt onto the cookie sheet. And use the back of the spoon to spread it out so it is all about the same thickness. Then add your toppings. For ours we used candy eyes and yummy teeth. Then cover with aluminum foil and freeze for 4-6 hours or even overnight. Make sure you place it level. Once it is frozen simply break into pieces.
This is a great recipe for your kids to help with since their is no right or wrong way to do it. I recommend serving it in a bowl since it will melt. B could not wait to eat it!
