South Florida Summer Bucket List by Day

I love that Bailey asked me what was on our summer bucket list.  Living in South Florida we are so lucky to have so many things to do.  This year I have broken it down into two sections.  The first is our favorite drop in classes by day of the week.  The second part is our favorite local spots for field trips.  Enjoy our South Florida Summer Bucket List.

South Florida Summer Bucket List Scheduled Classes

Monday: South FloridaSummer Bucket List

• Drop in storytime at Library - Interactive family class with stories and music.
  Spanish River Library Learning Center, 10:00-10:30am
• Camp Creativity at Michael's' -  10am-noon June 12th - July 28th.  New crafts each day.  Check out the link for weekly themes and examples of the projects.
• Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse - Monday-Thursday at 10am.  Shows are only a $1.  Check the flyer for the movie that will be playing.

Tuesday: South Florida Summer Bucket List

• Family Coloring Time  - Come relax and share some family coloring time for all levels of skill. Learn about some talented book illustrators to inspire your creativity! No enrollment required. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. At the Downtown Library, Tuesdays from 2:30pm-4:00pm
• Story time at the Boca Children's Museum - Stories, songs, and finger plays for parents and children to enjoy together. Included with Museum admission. All ages welcome. Tuesday-Saturday at 11:00am
• Inspired Art at Boca Children's Museum - $5 BRCM members/$8 for non-members. This class has been developed to introduce young children to beginning skills, and art tools. Children will be introduced to basic art vocabulary, and encouraged to acquire new skills through this activity-based studio art class. They will be introduced to clay, charcoal drawing, painting, design, montage, watercolors, sculpture, and more. Children will be given opportunity to explore, create, and achieve.  Tuesday-Thursday at 11:30am

• Downtown Library Shows - Check the library website for details as each week has a different show.

• Story time at the Boca Children's Museum - Stories, songs, and finger plays for parents and children to enjoy together. Included with Museum admission. All ages welcome.  Tuesday-Saturday at 11:00am
• Sensory Art at the Boca Children's Museum -  For children with a parent or caregiver Friday 11:30 am - 12:15 pm $3 for BRCM members or $5 per child for non-members. For the youngest artists, art is all about the process, not the product. Children will learn, play, explore, and fill their senses with fun and kid-safe art experiences. Spend time with your child nurturing his or her development. Dress for a mess! Class may be held indoors or outdoors.
• Family Yoga at the Boca Children's Museum -  Fridays at 5:30pm

Weekend: South Florida Summer Bucket List

• Summer reading program at library - Visit the library each week to receive prizes for reading or reading with an adult
• Drop in storytime at Library - Interactive family class with stories and music.  Downtown Library Learning Center, Saturdays, 10:00-10:30am
• Story time at the Boca Children's Museum - Stories, songs, and finger plays for parents and children to enjoy together. Included with Museum admission. All ages welcome.  Tuesday-Saturday at 11:00am
• All Art Class at Boca Children's Museum - Join us for an art class encompassing many different art mediums such as: clay, painting, drawing, mixed media, even some dancing! Two small groups enjoy this class at the same time: $5 for Members/$8 for NonMembers Saturdays at 11:30am

South Florida Summer Bucket List Field Trips

We love to take summer field trips.  At least one day a week we pick a day to go on an adventure.  Here are some of our favorite places.

• Summer Saving Pass - We love this deal.  4 attractions…4 months of fun…1 low price.  Lion Country Safari, Miami Seaquarium, Museum of Discovery and Science and Zoo Miami will be offering a ‘Summer Savings Pass’ for the sixth year in a row.  The Summer Savings Pass will give pass holders unlimited admission to all four attractions throughout the summer!  You can buy them at any of these locations.
