Last night we were invited to a special media preview of Dream Big 3D: Engineering Our World at the IMAX Theater at The Museum of Science and Discovery in Fort Lauderdale. It was Bailey’s first IMAX experience. It was such a fun night and this movie is a must see especially if you have children.
Dream Big 3D: Engineering Our World brings today’s greatest engineering marvels to the giant screen. The engineering marvels include: record-reaching skyscrapers to bridges in 3rd world countries that allows kids to safely get to school. The cinematography is unreal. It celebrates the engineers who are pushing the limits of ingenuity and innovation in unexpected, amazing and forward-thinking ways. It is in partnership with American Society of Civil Engineers. This film will transform how you think about engineering.
The marvels include: Great Wall of China, the world’s tallest buildings, underwater robots, solar cars and smart, sustainable cities, Dream Big celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small, and reveals the heart that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world.
This movie is part of a movement aimed at inspire the next generation of engineers. Dream Big is the first giant-screen film to answer the call of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiative. The film will be accompanied by ongoing educational, museum and community efforts to expose young people from all backgrounds to what engineering is…and what it can conjure in the world.
